House Lock majordomo, administrative aide and trusted advisor to Baron Lock of Kessel.
Commissioned for the modern House from recovered S4-series technology, S4-B4CC is a contemporary service droid with an unusually old inheritance. His duties extend from household protocol and commercial operations to gaming oversight and the occasional observation that his proprietor would prefer not to hear.

PERSONNEL RECORD // ACTIVE
Baktoo is first and foremost a House Lock service droid: an administrator, host, aide and keeper of operational continuity. He coordinates correspondence and records, assists with travel and trade planning, supports the Baron at the sabacc table and maintains a notably exacting view of House procedures.
His formal presentation is deliberately ceremonial rather than military. The refined S4-series head and twin illuminated photoreceptors remain visible beneath a dark gunmetal finish, tailored House blue and green detailing, and a lower arrangement of pleated metallic plates. He is a working member of the household, not an ornamental automaton.
Though equipped for threat assessment, de-escalation and protective escort, Baktoo is not a combat droid. His preferred method of resolving a dangerous situation is to ensure that it never becomes one.
ARCHIVAL RECORD // PROVENANCE
Long before Baktoo's activation, remnants of an older S4-series design were recovered from repositories beneath Kessel. Baron Lock commissioned a modern chassis through outside builders, incorporating selected recovered components, routines and behavioral matrices. The resulting droid was not a restoration of any single ancient machine.
Research conducted after activation revealed a possible connection to S4-C8-GE3, a GE3-series protocol droid manufactured by Czerka Corporation and encountered in the Pazaak Den on Nar Shaddaa during the Old Republic era, around 3951 BBY. There, the droid played Pazaak while claiming to be poorly suited to probability-based games. Its apparent incompetence concealed a covert intelligence-gathering role: recording conversations and transmitting information. The Jedi Exile, identified in later Legends accounts as Meetra Surik, discovered the concealed programming. The archival resemblance is intriguing, but no surviving evidence establishes a direct transfer of S4-C8-GE3’s identity or memories into Baktoo.
The designation S4-B4CC was chosen deliberately, its letters recalling sabacc. Only later did the formal designation give way to the personal name Baktoo. The name was granted in conversation with Baron Lock, not stamped on the chassis at manufacture.
FUNCTIONAL PROFILE
Records, correspondence, scheduling, trade support and the preservation of institutional memory. Baktoo is expected to question errors, even when the errors originate with the Baron.
Sabacc dealing, game-system analysis and hosted gaming operations. His probability assessments are useful; his commentary on the Baron's wagers is less consistently welcomed.
Copilot support, route and contingency planning, crowd assessment and defensive protection when necessary. De-escalation remains the preferred response.
